Horsing Around...

We're off for our first Center for Cartoon Studies Drawing Workshop field trip of the semester, drawing horses at the nearby River's Edge Stables in Plainfield, NH. No time to post anything of substance, so here's a quote for the day, compliments of HomeyM of Jamaica, VT...

"There's nothing fundamentally wrong with people. Given a story to enact that puts them in accord with the world, they will live in accord with the world. But given a story to enact that puts them at odds with the world... they will live at odds with the world. Given a story to enact in which they are lords of the world, they will act like lords of the world. And, given a story to enact in which the world is a foe to be conquered, they will conquer it like a foe, and one day, inevitably, their foe will die bleeding to death at their feet, as the world is now."

But then all the good people die and go to Heaven to live with Jesus.

Dear Steve,

It's Nandor Bokor from Hungary. Please excuse me for using "comment" space to write you a message in quite another topic. We used to exchange emails a couple of years ago, Re: your project to write a book on Hitchcock's "The Trouble With Harry". I just wanted to ask you if that project has gone any further. I'm sorry for pestering you with this question. It's just that my love for that film (and hence my enthusiasm for your project to research it) is so big, that I would really love to see this project completed.

Have a nice day,
Nandor

Nandor, emailed you this AM -- it's indeed still happening! See the email, and we'll see progress on that (and two other) GREEN MT CINEMA book projects this winter and coming spring.
