(Deficit + Surplus Lost + 935 Lies = 2008)
Note, too, that a correct deficit figure should add the surplus Bush instantly squandered in 2000-2001 to arrive at the accurate number (after all, that surplus is long gone).
"The deficit picture remains worse than it was when Bush took office seven years ago. Then, both White House and congressional forecasters projected cumulative surpluses of $5.6 trillion over the subsequent decade.
But a revenue bubble burst, a recession and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks adversely affected the books. Several rounds of tax cuts, including Bush's signature $1.35 trillion 2001 tax cut, also contributed to the return to deficits in 2002 after four years of budget surpluses. The national debt has risen to $9.2 trillion.
"This guy will come close to doubling the debt of the country during his period of presidency," [Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent] Conrad said."

This is the kind of stuff the worthless media tosses out to the stupid public and then quickly buries. The so-called political "opposition" will do nothing about this. For to do so would interfere with fixing the economic mess wrought by the Bushzis rape of this nation's treasure. The lies spewed out by the filthy Bush/Cheney junta won't be given more than a few stories before sinking out of sight.
Don't get excited over this, because nothing will come of it.
Over one million killed in Iraq because these sacks of human filth wanted to wage a war. Unfortunately, they will never be brought to justice.
Enjoy your TV shows, America.
"Enjoy your TV shows, America."
I WISH!!!
There's nothing to enjoy on TV. Well, BARELY!
-->> ..i don't know how Bush can rest at peace during the night..

And that's not mentioning all the lies that got erased in White House emails.
Oh what the hell. I was going to ignore this, but since I just rambled over at Mikey's blog, I'll cut and paste here:
Mikey, come on. The Center for Public Integrity is Soros-funded and that stupid list is just stupid - you can google up all the explanations and reasons that it's bogus you want. If you really want to know, the answers are out there. Start with Malkin's blog and go from there to the youtube link etc etc etc
Sure, maybe there were only 835, rather than 935 false statements. Still enough to impeach Cheney's and Bush's sorry arses. But, yes, nothing will be done.
Mark, John Scalzi said it better than I could:
Well, you know. Facts are facts. If there’s evidence that those incidents in which the administration is said to have lied actually turn out that they were actually speaking truth, I imagine we’ll know about it soon enough.
I'm waiting....
I'll say it better than John Scalzi can:
They were all "lying" at the time.
You can contact me direct if you want to hash it out, and I will if I have time. I honest try not to drive my trucks around in Bissette's sandbox, but honestly, sometimes he just - - OH THAT BISSETTE!!!
