Just a quickie tonight: This just in, posted here with permission of our editor at St. Martin's Press and Dave himself -- Dave McKean's glorious cover art for Prince of Stories: The Many Worlds of Neil Gaiman, co-authored by yours truly, Chris Golden and Hank Wagner.
Bless you, Dave!
I'm very happy, as are Chris, Hank and St. Martin's, and I hope Neil is, too.
The book is now scheduled for November, 2008 release.
Labels: Dave McKean cover, Prince of Stories

It really is a fabulous cover, very inspired, but your concern about whether Neil Gaiman will be pleased makes me wonder what could possibly make Neil unhappy about a venture like this: "Sorry, blokes, but there are a few of my worlds that you missed!"
He's having books written about him at a young age; he should be over the moon, especially with all this talent at the helm. If he says one thing out of line, send him over to me.
Oh, that is just stunning. Reminds me of going to my comic shop and looking for the new Sandman, in the best possible way.
This is why Dave McKean is such a pioneer in the art field.
I'll be laying low on the book until it's time to promote it in the fall -- but glad you all enjoyed the cover art, which I'm overjoyed about.
