PS: Ah, I see on Neil's blog that Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie are getting married tomorrow. Congrats on that, hope Neil has a great trip, and -- well, I'm happy for 'em. My last-ever trip to the UK was graced by a marvelous stay in Northampton with Alan and Melinda (a couple of years before the irrevocable falling-out with Alan), and I really loved Melinda. It was fun having the opportunity to work with both of them on the initial stages of Lost Girls, throughout its Taboo launch, and I wish them the best in their life ahead, together. Congrats, Alan and Melinda.

To show you how long I've been out of the comics loop, I thought Alan Moore was already happily married and with kids.
Alan was married to Phyllis and they indeed had two daughters -- Leah and Amber -- and Leah, now adult, is the Leah Moore I've written about and linked to from the blog, writing comics with her husband John Reppion.
Alan and Phyllis separated and eventually divorced in the late '80s, a couple of years before I found myself amid the same painful process with my first wife, Marlene aka Nancy O'Connor. Funny how these things shake out.
