They're Back,
& They're Late

Damn these Christian dating services!

Tempting me again, and late!

And look --
now the woman is in the clearly dominant position. I'm mere passive, docile drone fodder, hungry for a compatible Christian (but dominant) mate.

What is Jesus telling me now??

I'm so confused and hapless, woe is this poor li'l sheep. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, for he layeth me down with saucy brunettes who tuck their glasses (note: not sunglasses) upon brunette pastures of hair, and whom dangleth their pearls o'er my heaving hairy chest, and show a bit of their underthings beneath their clothing, yet hiding their cleavage and thus increasing the temptation to my yearning, aching Christian-dating-doting libid -- uh, soul, even though I'm married."

First Alberto Gonzales, now this. Soon, I shan't know right from wrong any longer.

Have a great weekend...

Look at the "y" in your MYRANT logo. Directly above the "y" - see that little gray spot you missed?

That's about how important the whole Gonzales "scandal" is in the Big Scheme of Things.

Yep. 'Tis.

Did you go to the TMNT "premiere" thing last night? I missed it. Actually I guess we coulda gone but - old and tired I guess. Instead we lay on the couch and watched Gilbert Harnandez as QUINTAS in The Naked Cosmos. Have you seen that thing? Good Lord it's painful. It's a real Fast-Forward Special!

THE HOST is actually playing in town (sort of). I have to drive about 16 miles south of Charlotte to see it, but see it I will. Probably tomorrow when my son can go with me, otherwise I'd go tonight (my son doesn't get off work until about 10:30 pm).

Christian girls are the hottest, man! (I know...I married one.)

Hem,

Definately go see the Host. You won't be dissapointed. I've had it for a month and I think I've seen it 3-4 times. Great movie, monster and direction.

I've yet to see the TMNT movie -- later this week, for sure.

THE HOST is a terrific film, among my favorites of the year, hands down. I've failed to post anything on it -- just too much to write about otherwise, I reckon, the week I saw it -- but I will!

My son and I went to see it. We had to drive across the county almost to the NC/SC border, but to a grand new theater in the high-rent district.

Well, I'd heard some much great stuff about the film that I felt it couldn't live up the hype. And it didn't. But that doesn't mean that it wasn't a fine film and that I didn't enjoy it. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great and original take on the giant monster schtick. I liked the human characters because they were all so flawed. The monster was a real asshole, too, which I thought was a good twist. You don't mind that people want to kill his sorry ass.

It's a really good film. Not as good as the shining press...but pretty darned good.
