I'm a Native Vermonter who drew and wrote from a tender age and loved dinosaurs and monsters, none of which I've ever outgrown. I graduated in 1978 as a member of the first-ever class at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art, Inc., entered the comics profession and carved out a career until my retirement from the field in 1999. I made (and left) my mark with SWAMP THING, TABOO, '1963,' and TYRANT, among others. As a writer, I've written for a variety of zines (including VIDEO WATCHDOG, DEEP RED, FANGORIA, etc.) and books (THE MONSTER BOOK: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, UNDERGROUND USA, etc.) amid occasional bouts of fiction (the Stoker Award winning novella ALIENS: TRIBES, short stories). My current pet project is GREEN MT CINEMA, dedicated to VT and New England films and filmmakers. I write constantly, draw occasionally, and now teach at the Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Jct., VT. I live with my wife Marjory, whom I love -- and I sure love my son Daniel and my daughter Maia, too.

Mark, no doubt the Bush Administration's hypocritical "pro-life" posturing amid war-mongering reality and all that's been done in the name of God via the Christian Right's fusion of Church & State has resulted in much of what you see on this comment board, but maybe I'm wrong on that count.
Yeah, unless I'm mistaken, you're wrong. The "Christian Right" my ass. If you don't know there's an equally sinister Christian Left, meet me for coffee sometime. I'll fill you in.
Christian wackos are everywhere. Just like Socialist Pinko Wackos. That's life.
It's my fondest wish all the 'wackos' and extremists, of all imaginable denominations and leanings, just don't take the rest of us out in the crossfire.
