Let's talk on the horn!

Kovacs. Criswell. Well, you're right, Bob. I agree this imagery is out there in the zeitgeist now, and it may make more sense today than ever, though I could see the same spectres looming in the Reagan era. I've been around the block enough to know that there's a mental well that all artists take sustenance from; some ideas are meant to get out of the well and set loose into the world, and if one carrier can't convey it, there's an expiration date and, after that, it's up for grabs. Seeing that artwork, and also the recent Monsters HD recruitment campaign, I was struck by the feeling of "Look, I say it here and it comes out there -- 20 years later." I do feel kind of humiliated to see my murmur of yesterday blown up into the blog fodder of today, so that'll teach me to open my mouth. But if my script ever does reach the screen, and there's some renewed hope of that now, these witnessed details will note that I'm not ripping anybody off either. It's interesting that this zeitgeist is now so powerful that not one, not two, but three different creative entities were moved to express it at roughly the same time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
